Special Lecture 1: Dr. Yvan-Charvet is a professor in Department of Molecular Medicine, Atip-Avenir, Fédération Hospitalo-Universitaire (FHU), France. He has published many excellent papers in the journals such as Nat. Rev Immunology and Circulation Research. His research has focused on the topics related with cholesterol, inflammation, and atherosclerosis. He is also performing studies associated with the immunometabolism. Special Lecture 2: Dr. Sripal Bangalore is a Professor of Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine in New York, NY, USA. Dr. Bangalore’s interests are in comparative effectiveness studies of cardiovascular diseases, particularly stable ischemic heart disease, acute coronary syndromes and hypertension. Variability is the law of life, and as no two faces are the same, so no two bodies are alike, and no two individuals react alike and behave alike under the abnormal conditions we know as disease.
